Before arriving in Madrid


How to book an apartment?

At the apartment's web page, you click on the "Book now" button and fill out the booking form. After that, in order to confirm the reservation, you pay 15-20% of the total rent. Payment can be made by bank transfer or by credit card. Once we receive the payment, we will send you an e-mail with the confirmation of the booking.

Is it safe to pay by credit card?

Payment is done directly through the bank's electronic facilities, which is up to date regarding online security. Under no circumstances will RentTheSun.com or any of its employees have access to your credit card information.

When is the booking confirmed?

The booking will be confirmed when we receive the payment of 15-20% of the total rental price, and after RentTheSun.com sends you the confirmation e-mail.

Will the booking fee be returned if we cancel the booking?

It depends on the cancellation policy of each apartment. If nothing is stated on the apartment’s profile, the amount paid to make the reservation will not be refunded.

Can I bring any pets?

No, no pets are allowed in the apartments.

Can I get a cradle for my baby?

Yes, there are free cradles available in almost all apartments. You should inform us about this in advance.

When you arrive in Madrid


How will I know how to find the apartment?

When the booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with the address of the apartment and instructions of how to get there.

What time should I arrive at the apartment?

Between 15:00h and 20:00h (you could enter earlier depending on whether the apartment was occupied the day before). Arrivals after 20:00h have a surcharge of 20 euro and in some apartments arrivals after 23:00h have a surcharge of 50 euro. You should confirm your time of arrival as soon as you know it.

When and where will I receive the keys of the apartment?

When you arrive at the apartment the owner will give you the keys and show you the apartment.

How should I pay?

The remaining ammount of the rental price must be paid in cash when you arrive at the apartment. Many of the apartments may also be paid with your credit card.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, you will need to pay a deposit at the time you arrive. This amount will be returned when you leave the apartment, providing there is no damage. The amount depends on the apartment.

Do I need to bring anything?

You do not need to bring any towels or bed linen. These will be in your apartment when you arrive. This is also the case for kitchen equipment etc. in many of our apartments

Who should I contact in the case of an emergency during my stay?

If you have any problems or questions regarding the apartment, you should contact the person that gave you the keys. Moreover, you can contact RentTheSun.com for anything else you might need.

Before leaving Madrid


What time must I leave the apartment?

You can stay in the apartment until 11:00h in the morning. However, some flexibility is possible depending on the apartment's next occupancy.

When will my deposit be refunded?

When the keys are returned and after checking that there is no damage to the apartment or its contents.

Will it be possible for an invoice to be issued?

Of course, if you request the invoice at least 24 hours in advance.
